What Are Appropriate Therapy Minutes for a Medically Complex Child in Homebound Preschool Special Education?

Homebound services should align with IEP goals, providing equitable support to in-person services, which often include 30-60 minutes weekly per therapy (PT, OT, speech) for preschoolers, based on need.

Request an ARD meeting to review the IEP, ensuring direct speech therapy (e.g., 30 minutes weekly) to target the language deficit and AAC use. Push for PT and OT minutes based on assessments, as medically complex kids often need more.
